Wimborne Who's Miss Encounter (aka Zoe) is a jet black, 15.2hh,  10 year old ASH X WB mare.  Zoe is by the irreplacable ASH sire, Maroomba Who, out Wood B. Encounter , who is by 17hh World Cup showjumping warmblood stallion Close Encounters.

 

Zoe has 2 full brothers, Wimborne Who's Encounter, a 16.2hh black gelding who competed to B grade showjumping with Katie Lawrence, then was used as a paraolympic mount in the Sydney Olympic Games before being exported overseas as a showjumper, and Wimborne Dane, a black stallion  currently standing at stud in Hay NSW.

 

 

 

Zoe was bred here at Wimborne Park Stud and was sold as a 4 year old to Jane Bartram of Hollands Bend for their young daughter, Alex, to ride and show.

 

Zoe was professionally broken in and then ridden by Alex. Alex and Zoe had a lot of success in showing. At every local outing (amongst good competition) Zoe was awarded First Place! Alex also took Zoe to Melbourne Royal where she placed 3rd in the Led ASH class.

 

 

Sadly for Zoe, Alex outgrew her and needed to move onto a taller horse.

 

Zoe was then used as a broodmare, producing 3 beautiful frozen semen bred warmblood foals for Jane and Peter Bartram. Jane and Peter sold 2 of these foals and have retained the final black filly by Sir Donnerhall for their breeding program.

 

Wimborne Park Stud bought Zoe back in 2009 in foal to Swarovski (Sandro Hit/ Don Gregory/ Rubinstein). In December, Zoe produced a stunning black filly with 4 socks and a large star, who we have called Wimborne Saskia. Wimborne  Saskia will be proudly retained as part of out breeding program.

 

Zoe is really too good a horse just be used as a broodmare. Her excellent conformation, type and temperament make her an ideal horse for someone who would like to ride and show her again. For this reason, Zoe is offered for sale to the best of homes only.

 

Of course, Zoe too is a very valuable broodmare, producing beautifully with warmblood stallions. If the right home is interested Zoe can be sold with a discounted service fee to either Contenda (imp) or Remembrance Day. Please speak to us if you are interested in this option.

Zoe is registered with the AWHA, Oldenburg Association and Australian Stockhorse Association.

 

Due to having a foal at foot at the moment Zoe will be available to leave Wimborne Park Stud in April 2010. Expressions of Interest invited before this time.
