Maroomba Who is the ideal sire for anyone wanting to breed a versatile, trainable, good natured horse for either showing, ASH classes, pony club, campdrafting, polo/polocrosse, showjumping, dressage , eventing or just for pleasure.
Maroomba Who is the foundation sire of Wimborne Park Stud. He was purchased in 1994 as an untouched 3 year old colt and has proven to be the dream stallion.
Who was broken in as a 3 year old and shown extensively for numerous wins and Champion awards in Australian Stockhorse classes at both local, branch, and national level. He is a very elegant stallion with an excellent front end who always tries to please and is an absolute pleasure to deal with in every respect.
Who€™s temperament is second to none whether he is at a show, on a trail ride, being ridden amongst the mares and foals ,breeding or just in the paddock. Who is a large striding, straight moving horse that gives a light , easy, responsive, and very comfortable ride. Although he himself has never been jumped his progeny have displayed a real talent in this area.
Maroomba Who€™s progeny have proved themselves to be extremely versatile proving that the Australian Stock Horse is indeed €œthe breed for every need€. Who€™s progeny are clever capable horses that are ready to perform successfully in whatever type of competition or riding is preferred by their owners. Who€™s progeny can be found campdrafting, in the showring, at dressage, showjumping ,playing polo and polocrosse and being used as stud horses. Who€™s progeny can even be found internationally with Wimborne Who€™s Encounter, previously owned by Katie Lawrence of Dural, recently being exported to Korea for showjumping. Wimborne Who€™s Encounter is B grade in showjumping as well as being a horse selected for the Disabled Olympics held in Sydney 2000.
Who has been successful crossed with Thoroughbred, Stockhorse, Quarter Horse, Arabian and Warmblood mares.
Maroomba Who is sire registered with the Australian Stock horse Society.
Who passed away on 3rd December 2007, aged 16 years, after a brave battle with complications post EI. He is greatly missed and will always be remembered.
