Wimborne Conniston is currently a 2 year old black/brown gelding with 3 short socks and a star.I expect him to mature to 16.1 - 16.2hh.He has very correct conformation with straight legs and excellent feet.
Conniston has straight, elevated paces with a wonderfully balanced canter already.
Conniston has been bred specifically to be suitable for the olympic disciplines of dressage, showjumping and eventing.
Wimborne Conniston is the final foal of our outstanding foundation mare, Christadorf(dec). Christadorf is the dam of our stallion, Remembrance Day, and forms the cornerstone of all the horses bred here at Wimborne Park Stud.
Christadorf is by the well known imported stallion Ludendorf. Ludendorf himself competed as an advanced 3 day eventing horse and has produced numerous FEI level eventers and dressage horses. Christadorf's dam sire is the imported stallion Wesuw, known for producing good movement and temperaments in his off spring.
Wimborne Conniston's sire is the imported dual purpose stallion, Contenda. Contenda carries state of the art genetics for producing both dressage and jumping horses.
