Wimborne Courageous is a risng star in both the eventing and dressage worlds. His unbeatable temperament and supple, elastic paces have seen him be highly successful in his debut competition season with Grace Kay ,with highlights including:

- Winning the Sydney 3DE 4yo Young Event Horse Class with a score of 92.9%

- Winning Round 1 and placing 3rd in Round 2 in the 4yo Young Dressage Horse Class at Dressage by the Sea, Willinga Park.

- Winning numerous Young Dressage Horse qualifiers and official Dessage tests with scores in the mid to high 70%'s

His sire is the highly respected , proven eventer and sire,  Contenda and his dam is Wimborne Four Seasons.
 

Contenda is a proven worldclass dual purpose stallion in all regards. He has proven himself to be a highly successful competitor with wins in eventing, showjumping and dressage. Contenda competed up to 2* Eventing with Shane Rose until being forced to retire due to a training injury just when he was about to step up to 3* competition. In an interview given by dual Olympic Medalist Shane Rose about Contenda he said "....he ( Contenda) certainly has got the ability to go as far as he needs to go for 4 Star and beyond, he has super super jumping ability, he is great on the flat and he appears to gallop great....he just gallops and jumps and doesn't get tired near the end of the course"

Contenda is a prolific sire of highly successful progeny that are now staring centre stage at the top level of their respective equestrian fields. Contenda is arguably Australia's most successful and versatile sire with progeny winning at all levels including elite levels in Eventing, Showjumping, Dressage and the show ring. Contenda's progeny include Shane Roses's eventing star Swiper (3* Eventing winner at 8 years old and selected to represent Japan at the Tokyo Olympic Games 2021), our homebred Licensed stallion Wimborne Constable campaigned by Heath Ryan currently competing 4* Eventing, showjumping sensation Centenda and Karlee McKay, 1.40m showjumper Con Brio owned by Clive Reed, Alkyra Acrobat - 2 time winner of HOTY and Grand National Runner up, Kitara Top Contenda - mutilple Royal winning hack, dressage star WG Confederate.......just to name a few.

Contenda is by Contendro 1. For the last 8 years, Contendro 1 has been ranked as the number 1 stallion in the world for producing winners in eventing! He also features in the top 20 stallions for producing showjumpers and has several successful dressage offspring as well.Like father, like son - both stallions display versatility at the highest level.

Contenda's damline features the specialised dressage blood of Bolero, sire of Brentano II, and successful eventing TB blood of Der Lowe.Both Bolero and Der Lowe have offspring selected for olympic teams in dressage and eventing respectively.

She is also the grand dam of 2  x AWHA licensed stallions, the 4* Eventer Wimborne Constable and Wimborne Confederate as well as dam of 4 x AWHA Head Stud book mare, 2 of which were awarded over 80% at theri mare classifications.Wimborne Four Seasons' bloodlines combine the Grand Prix Dressage lines of Valuta (imp) with the Advanced Level ( now 4*) Eventing blood of Ludendorf.
