Remembrance Day is an elegant eye catching young stallion with a quiet temperament and a talent for dressage. He has remarkable paces equal in quality to many imported horses. His trot has enormous amounts of swing and elasticity, his canter is uphill and engaged whilst he has a huge overtrack in walk. He is beautifully marked with plenty of chrome and has a real look at me quality.

Remembrance Day is ideal as a sire for dressage, showhorses or even quality pleasure horses.

Remembrance Day himself has had much success as a young horse in the showring. He has won numerous Champion Led Warmblood awards amidst quality company and was placed 2nd in the Warmblood classes at the Sydney Royal Easter Show. All who knew of him were eagerly awaiting his dressage career. Tragically, his saddle career was halted as a 3 ½ year old when he sustained a large cartilage tear and torn joint capsule in his hock after a paddock injury. This injury has prohibited Remembrance Day from the levels of work needed for a serious competition horse.

Despite being unable to prove himself in the competition arena he is still a valuable breeding asset. The breeding value of thoroughbred cross warmblood sires is widely acknowledged in Europe with supersires such as Bolero and Londonderry proving themselves time and time again.

Remembrance Day is registered with the AWHA  and ANSA€“ his progeny from Warmblood bred mares are eligible for registration in the AWHA WID register. Progeny may also eligible for registration as Arabian Warmblood Horses as well as with ANSA.

Remembrance Day offers breeders the opportunity to breed to a quality horse with amazing paces and temperament for a very economical service fee.

The video below shows Remembrance Day as a young horse only. The video footage of him ridden was taken on his 5th ride under saddle whilst being broken in. It is also the first time he has been ridden in an open arena. The video footage was taken for our own personal reference library and was never intended to be the only video footage we had of Remembrance Day under saddle, however due to his paddock injury as a 3.5 year old it is all we were able to get. We have included this video footage for you to see as it shows you Remembrance Day's natural paces and outstanding temperament but please keep in mind just how green he is in the footage.

Flamboyant
16.1hh Brown Thoroughbred stallion

Flamboyant was an outstanding thoroughbred that combined exquisite beauty and elegance with huge, elevated, elastic, warmblood like movement. He had a calm kind nature that was passed on to his progeny.

Flamboyant won South Australian Novice dressage Horse of the Year under Heather Currie before being purchased by Susannah McGarrity and Derek Pether and starting a highly successful career in the showring. This culminated in being awarded Supreme Champion Thoroughbred Exhibit out of a field of hundreds of horses at the 1999 Royal Easter Show.

In a breeding career cut tragically short, Flamboyant has produced many horses of superior quality. After only 6 seasons at stud Flamboyant is the sire of numerous top level showhorses and hacks such as Alkyra Enchanted, Alykra Flamboyance, Alkyra Elegance, Supernatural, just to name a few. His progeny have won or highly placed in the Thoroughbred classes at Sydney Royal for every year that he stood at stud. His progeny have taken out championships at Royal and national level in the ASH, ANSA, Hack, Galloway, Arabian derivative, Warmblood and of course Thoroughbred rings. In 2009 the Flamboyant progeny,Alkyra Elegance and Supernatural won the Hack council and EFA HOTY respectively, with Alkyra Elegance being named Small Hack of the Year. So far in 2010, Flamboyant progeny have been named Runner up Grand National hack in both the small and large hack classes.

Flamboyant's progeny are renowned for their elegance, wonderful temperaments and amazing movement.

Christadorf
Black Australian Warmblood
16.2hh

Christadorf is the foundation mare for Wimborne Park Stud. She was bred by Tracey and Geoff Charlwood of Sutton Forest before being purchased as a 3 year old by Wimborne Park Stud.

Christadorf had a very successful show career winning many Champion Warmblood classes both led and ridden, including placing at both Sydney and Canberra Royal shows. Christadorf was a mare that people would stop and look at wherever she went. She is a big, well conformed mare with beautiful suspended movement especially suitable for passage and piaffe.

Christa then retired to be our foundation broodmare and has produced 6 quality progeny. All of her fillies and Remembrance Day have been retained by the stud for future breeding purposes. This year will see the third generation of Christa€™s progeny being born.

Christadorf is a 7/8€™s sister to Suzy Cogar€™s beautiful stallion, Apptrak Talisman.

Christadorf is by Ludendorf out of a Wesuw mare. Ludendorf, who stood at 17.2hh, re wrote the history books by becoming an advanced eventer as well as a Grand Prix dressage horse. He has sired countless Grand Prix showjumpers and dressage horses and Advanced eventers, many of which have sold overseas for top prices. He has become the foundation sire for many warmblood horses in Australia with his progeny being highly sort after and regarded as valuable breeding stock.
Wesuw is a trakhener stallion who was imported into Australia in the early 70€™s. Wesuw passed his stallion performance test in Germany at 3 years old. Many of his progeny excelled in dressage, showjumping and led classes. Wesuw himself excelled in led classes gaining supreme at Melbourne and Sydney Royal Shows. His progeny won most successful progeny overall of any sire at 1987 Warmblood Gala Day and Futurity Show.
